Aspirus Rhinelander Hospital in Rhinelander, WI is seeking SURGICAL TECHNOLOGIST STUDENTS our team!

The Surgical Tech Intern works under the direct supervision of a precepting Surgical Technologist. As an Intern, you will collaborate with the precepting Surgical Technologist to provide a safe, efficient environment for the surgical patient and staff by working in accordance with the Aspirus standards of practice and by adhering to Aspirus policies, procedures, universal precautions, and sterile technique.

ELIGIBILITY:

  • Students who are currently enrolled in a Surgical Technologist program.
  • Surgical Tech Intern I - 1st year students
  • Surgical Tech Intern II - 2nd year student
  • Demonstrates knowledge of commonly used surgical equipment and instrumentation.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 3 months of hire.

WHAT TO EXPECT:

  • Surgical Tech Intern I will work in Sterile Processing.
  • Sterile Tech Intern II will work in the OR.
  • Opportunities to enhance skills. • Increased understanding of processes.
  • Paid position.

HOURS: Flexible, occasional status; will work with student hours.

PAY RATE: Intern I: $16.00/Hour, Intern II: $17.00/Hour
