What you will be doing:

With this attractive opportunity you will be responsible for instrumentation design, program management, oversight of sensor application, sensor development and measurement technology ownership. This is a dynamic hands-on role with direct interface with the instrumentation lab, assembly floor and engine test teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To establish a test instrumentation plan within program requirements for sensor implementation on component, subsystem, and whole engine testing

  • To communicate test instrumentation progress and plans to business programs as required

  • To own the test instrumentation design, development, process for application, measurement technology and test data collection troubleshooting as required

  • To assist with test article assembly and test stand installation processes for proper instrumentation routing and signal identification

  • Write department procedures as necessary to improve efficiency and capture lessons learned, as well as help train and develop less experienced engineers

  • May work independently, be part of a team performing like tasks, or act as a specialist in a particular area depending on experience level and complexity of the task

  • May travel for off-site instrumentation and test support and represent the company while working with the customer

  • Additional duties as assigned

Basic Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related business field with 2+ years of experience in technical roles OR;

  • A Master's degree in Engineering or related business field OR;

  • JD/PhD in Engineering

  • In order to be considered for this opportunity, you must be eligible to obtain and maintain security clearance, which requires USA Citizenship

Preferred Requirements:

  • Technical experience with Instrumentation (i.e. pressure, strain, temperature)

  • Mechanical design experience using computer aided tools such as NX

  • Engineering testing experience in gas turbine systems

  • Experience interfacing with customers on technical program issues

  • Demonstrated project planning and management experience

  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills including technical writing and presentations
