Job description

Summary:
An experienced land surveying and mapping company is looking for an Instrument Technician to work out of their Boca Raton office. The ideal candidate would be someone with prior experience as an Instrument Person who is looking to grow their skillset with the company. The position would primarily be responsible for assisting in the collection of field data using a variety of surveying instruments.
Responsibilities:
* Set up and operate survey instruments including GPS stations
* Assist Crew Chief in conducting surveys for boundary, topographic, and line projects with occasional hydrographic work
* Collect and accurately record field data
* Utilize GPS equipment, levels, and scanners
* Travel throughout Florida on field and survey projects

Requirements:
* 1+ years of land surveying instrument experience
* Must have valid Driver's License and Clean Driving Record
* Must be willing to travel
* Must be proficient with electronic survey equipment
Preferred:
* CST 1 or 2 is a plus
* Previous experience with Topcon, Leica, or Trimble instruments
