Job description

Keystone Powdered Metal Company, a Sumitomo Electric Group company, is looking for a full-time Instrument Technician who will be working in our St. Marys, PA location. This person will report to the Maintenance Manager.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

o To layout and modify control circuits and write or install programs

o To efficiently and safely install, maintain, and/or remove control circuitry

and activities of presses, ovens, and other pieces of plant equipment and systems, including programming and circuitry

o To efficiently and safely do the general instrumentation and programming

Maintenance (such as meters, alarm systems, power supplies, checkers and sorters, and temperature controls)

o Legibly record and maintain applicable product/process information including print and design changes

o Effectively utilize measuring equipment and information obtained from its use to ensure continuation of control conditions

o Provide active input to continuous process improvement

o Effectively communicate job related information to co-workers, supervisors and others with a need to know

o Maintain cooperative relationships with other functional areas

o Reliable, consistent attendance is a requirement and essential function of this position

o Perform other tasks as requested

Qualifications

ยท Must have a minimum of 2 years of electrical education or equivalent industrial experience

ยท Must be able to perform work using trade knowledge within the National Electrical Code

ยท Must understand programmable controller logic and circuitry

ยท Understands decimals, fractions, percentages, averages, etc. and higher levels of math such as trigonometry

Compensation may vary depending on a number of factors, including a candidateโ€™s experience, qualifications, skills, competencies and location. Base pay is one part of the total compensation and benefits package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work.
