Job description

Columbus Technical College is seeking an individual to serve as an adjunct for Societies Human Resource Management Certification (SHRM) (non-credit). Under minimal supervision, this individual will prepare lesson plans for classroom instruction; evaluate students' progress in attaining goals, objectives, and student learning outcomes, and attend staff meetings. Further requirements include assisting with recruitment, and retention. This position requires day, evening, and/or on-line instruction. This position is part-time/non-exempt.
Responsibilities:
  • Prepare material for SHRM class
  • Coordinate SHRM curriculum or content of classes, lectures, or other educational materials
  • Oversee the operations of certification
  • Staying abreast of changes in the SHRM industry
  • Ensures adherence to technical college and safety requirements in classrooms and labs by following established procedures
  • Ensures consistency in syllabi, lesson plans, educational materials, assessments, and other appropriate course work based on the SHRM guidelines
  • Monitors use of and maintains supplies, equipment and/or facilities for assigned program

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Management, Business Administration, or related field.
