Job description

BallenIsles Country Club located in Palm Beach Gardens, FL, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a part-time Pilates Instructor! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part of Troon, you will contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.
Role Type:
Seasonal (Position will last 6 months or less)
Compensation:
$15.00 per hour
Key Responsibilities:
  • Designs safe and effective Pilates programs according to clients' specific needs.
  • Guides members through initial and progressive Pilates sessions.
  • Ensures proper, up-to-date, and safe procedures are used in the teaching of all clients.
  • Inspects Pilates apparatus and areas for cleanliness and safety.
  • Performs light custodial duties, such as wiping down equipment and monitoring cleanliness in the pool area, spa, fitness center, and locker rooms.
  • Enforces all rules and regulations in a polite and professional manner.
  • Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
  • Assists in day-to-day operations of the Pilates Studio.
  • Works closely with the Pilates Manager and Pilates Team Members.
  • Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Must be able to establish safe and sound Pilates programs determined by governing bodies.
  • Must have excellent member service skills.
  • Participates in continuing education seminars and workshops.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Knowledge/Skill:
  • Experience and exposure with a wide variety of exercise modalities, equipment, instructional techniques, injury prevention, fitness and wellness counseling, and developing and interpreting personalized Pilates and wellness regimens.
  • Must be able to read and speak English to perform the duties of the position.

Education and Experience:
  • A minimum of two years of experience in teaching Pilates, including Pilates programming and group Pilates training.

Certificates/Licenses:
  • Pilates Instructor Comprehensive Certification (preferably the NPCP, National Pilates Certification Program, or PMA, Pilates Method Alliance).
  • CPR/AED Certification.
