Tri-County Technical College is seeking a dynamic, industry-experienced professional to serve as an Adjunct Instructor for our Manufacturing Skill Standards Council (MSSC) certification programs. This role specifically focuses on delivering high-quality instruction for the Certified Logistics Associate (CLA) and Certified Logistics Technician (CLT) credentials.
The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between classroom theory and real-world logistics, preparing students for the fast-paced demands of global supply chain operations.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Instructional Delivery: Lead evening sessions covering the foundational and technical aspects of logistics, including product receiving, storage, order processing, and transportation.
  • Curriculum Management: Utilize MSSC-approved materials to ensure students are prepared for the CLA and CLT national certification exams.
  • Safety & Compliance: Teach and enforce industry safety standards, including OSHA regulations and workplace ergonomics.
  • Student Support: Provide mentorship and feedback to a diverse student population, including adult learners and workforce development participants.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and assessment scores.

Minimum and Additional Requirements
  • MSSC Certification: Must currently hold (or be eligible to quickly obtain) the MSSC Authorized Instructor status for CLA/CLT.
  • Industry Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in logistics, supply chain management, or warehouse operations.
  • Education: Associate's degree in a related field (Business, Logistics, Industrial Management) preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and significant industry leadership.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience teaching adult learners or conducting corporate training.
  • Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory control software.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex logistical workflows to entry-level learners.
