Job Description
The instructor will lead a group of patrons ranging in age from 18 years old and up. The instructor will design the course to reflect their area of expertise and be in accordance to their certification. The instructor will keep track of class participants and also assist in growing the practice. The instructor must maintain current certification and stay abreast of new developments and trends with in their practice. Must work cooperatively with students, staff, and community members and be sensitive and respectful to issues of student and staff diversity.
Required Qualifications
A current Frist Aid, CPR, AED certificate is required. Must present an up to date certification of completion or of upcoming enrollment in a Frist Aid, CPR, AED certified class. An approved certification in the area of expertise in which they are instructing is necessary to be considered for this position.
Preferred Qualifications
Have at least one year of fitness instruction in a group setting.
Knowledge of training principles for people of various ages and fitness abilities; ability to communicate, educate, and motivate the individuals, provide guidance of safe methods of exercise training.
Physical Demands
Ability to instruct up to 60 minutes at a time; possibly multiple times per day
