Job description

Cervello Global Research Corporation (CGRC), a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business, is seeking an experienced Instructional Content Developer to create structured teaching-methods products in support of SOW ยง2.3, C.3.

This position develops clear, accurate, and practical instructional content that teaches military personnel how to properly use, evaluate, and maintain clothing and equipment systems. Deliverables may include instructor guides, participant handbooks, structured lesson plans, and evaluation procedure documents. All materials must be technically sound, easy to follow, and usable by military instructors and participants without additional explanation. This is a technical writing position with a strong instructional design component.

Key Responsibilities

Develop written teaching-methods products for military clothing and equipment evaluation programs in accordance with MilTech deliverable standards and Government acceptance criteria under SOW ยง2.3, C.3.

  • Produce structured instructional materials, including instructor guides, participant handbooks, lesson plans, and evaluation procedure documents for military audiences.
  • Translate evaluation findings and subject matter expert input into clear, actionable instructional content addressing proper equipment use, maintenance, and evaluation procedures.
  • Coordinate with the Evaluation Writer/Lead to ensure instructional content is accurate and fully integrated into the overall evaluation deliverable package.
  • Revise instructional products in response to Government review feedback through final acceptance.
  • Ensure all instructional content is accurate, complete, consistent, and usable without requiring additional clarification from the author.

NOTE: Position is contingent upon Contract Award

Position Requirements Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience developing instructional content, training materials, or teaching methods documentation in a DoD or Government context
  • Demonstrated ability to produce written teaching methods products โ€” lesson plans, instructor guides, participant handbooks, or structured instructional documents โ€” for military or Government audiences
  • Experience developing instructional content related to military equipment, clothing, or systems โ€” including correct use procedures, evaluation protocols, or maintenance guidance
  • Ability to translate complex technical subject matter into clear, structured instructional content usable by military instructors and participants
  • TS/SCI eligible โ€” active or adjudicated TS/SCI clearance required; candidates without TS/SCI eligibility will not be considered
  • Able to travel to evaluation sites or Government facilities CONUS and OCONUS as required by task order; travel is reimbursed
  • Bachelor's degree in instructional design, education, technical writing, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience developing instructional content specifically for military clothing and equipment โ€” including user guides, field manuals, or evaluation procedure documents for soft goods, load-bearing systems, or protective equipment
  • Formal instructional design training or certification (e.g., ADDIE methodology, SAT โ€” Systems Approach to Training, or equivalent)
  • Prior military service with experience as an instructor, trainer, or subject matter expert responsible for teaching equipment use to military personnel
  • Experience producing written instructional products reviewed and accepted by a Government program office, training command, or equivalent authority
  • Familiarity with military clothing and equipment categories identified in SOW ยง2.1: extreme environment survivability systems, armor and load-bearing systems, protective garments, and related soft goods
  • Experience with digital or multimedia instructional content development tools in addition to traditional written products
