Job description

Wanaque Board of Education is seeking a Full-Time Instructional Assistant
Salary: Starting $38,399 following the district's salary guide. 

The Instructional Assistant will support the educational goals and learning objectives of students by providing supplemental assistance to the classroom teacher. Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting in the supervision of classroom activities under the direction of the certified classroom teacher or other designated certified personnel.
  • Supporting individualized instruction and working with small groups of students to reinforce material initially introduced by the teacher.
  • Promoting a positive, supportive learning environment for all students.

Experience working with the Special Education population is preferred.
