Institutional Research Analyst (DPME)

Marine Corps University (MCU) / Education Command 

Location: Quantico, VA 

**This position is contingent upon contract award.**


Position Overview 

Hatalom is seeking an Institutional Research, Assessment & Planning (IRAP) Analyst to support Marine Corps University (MCU) and Education Command. This position provides institutional research, assessment, and data analysis support to evaluate student performance, program effectiveness, and educational outcomes across resident and distance education programs. The successful candidate will support survey development, data collection and analysis, assessment reporting, dashboard development, and continuous improvement initiatives that inform academic and organizational decision-making. This position is contingent upon contract award. 


Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Conduct institutional research and assessment activities supporting MCU educational programs. 
  • Develop, distribute, collect, and analyze surveys and assessment instruments. 
  • Analyze student performance data and prepare reports on educational outcomes and program effectiveness. 
  • Conduct test item analysis and assessment reviews to support curriculum improvement. 
  • Develop dashboards, visualizations, and reports for leadership and stakeholders. 
  • Support Course Content Review Boards (CCRBs) and assessment-related meetings. 
  • Maintain assessment databases and institutional research records. 
  • Prepare presentations, briefings, and recommendations based on research findings. 
  • Support planning, accreditation, and continuous improvement initiatives. 

Required Qualifications 

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Statistics, Data Analytics, Institutional Research, Social Sciences, Business, or related field. 
  • Experience in institutional research, assessment, program evaluation, or data analysis. 
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills. 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and data visualization tools. 
  • Experience collecting, analyzing, and presenting quantitative and qualitative data. 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Experience supporting higher education, military education, or Professional Military Education (PME) programs. 
  • Experience with survey design, educational assessment, and learning outcomes analysis. 
  • Experience developing dashboards and data visualizations. 
  • Knowledge of accreditation, institutional effectiveness, or academic assessment processes. 
  • Experience with statistical analysis software and reporting tools. 


Security Requirements 

  • U.S. Citizenship required. 
  • Active Secret clearance (Tier 3 Investigation) required.
