What is an instant interview?

Instant Interviews are a streamlined hiring process where job candidates can interview for a position immediately, often on the spot or through an automated online system. These interviews typically do not require advance scheduling and are designed to speed up the recruitment process. Instant Interviews can take place in-person at hiring events, via video calls, or through digital platforms that record responses to pre-set questions. This approach benefits both employers, by quickly filling roles, and job seekers, by providing rapid feedback and opportunities.

What should candidates expect during an instant interview process and how can they best prepare?

During an instant interview, candidates are often interviewed immediately after submitting their application, sometimes through video or chat platforms. This format requires you to be prepared to discuss your experience, skills, and motivation on the spot. It's important to have your resume handy, research the company beforehand, and practice answering common interview questions concisely. Instant interviews tend to be fast-paced and may focus on behavioral questions to quickly assess fit, so being clear and confident in your responses is key.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an instant interviewer, and why are they important?

To thrive as an Instant Interviewer, you need strong interpersonal communication, quick decision-making, and a solid understanding of recruitment best practices, often supported by experience in HR or talent acquisition. Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS), video interviewing platforms, and candidate assessment tools is typically required. Active listening, adaptability, and the ability to remain objective help you connect with candidates and assess their suitability effectively. These skills are crucial to quickly identifying top talent and ensuring a positive, efficient candidate experience.

Hair Stylist. Full-Service Salon, $15/hr Guaranteed, Daily Tips

PAY

$15.00 - $46.00 per hour

JOB TYPE

Full-time, Part-time

JOB DESCRIPTION

You did not spend 1,200 hours in school to only cut hair.

This is a full-service salon. Color, foils, perms, relaxers, and the corrective work that walks in when somebody else got it wrong. If you trained for all of it, you get to use all of it here.

The money.

You earn commission on everything you do: up to 50% of your service sales and up to 25% of your product sales.

And you are guaranteed $15.00 an hour, for every hour you work. That $15.00 counts your tips toward it, so if your commission and your tips together come to less, we pay the difference.

Your tips go on your Instant Tip card multiple times a day, not held for weeks until a paycheck, and there is no fee to you.

We will put the whole grid in front of you at the interview. Every step, every threshold, before you decide anything.

The opportunity is already here.

We are inside a Walmart Supercenter. Thousands of people walk through the store every day and most of them walk straight past the salon.

Going and getting them is part of the job, and you are on the clock for all of it: the aisles, the Vision Center, the Auto Care Center. You never have to go outside to do it, and you will not spend months finding out whether you can make rent on a booth while you build a book.

We hire carefully.

We would rather take longer and find the right person than fill a chair and do this again in ninety days. The guests you take in your first months are the ones who ask for you by name when they come back.

What you get

Commission up to 50% of your service sales and up to 25% of your product sales

$15.00 an hour guaranteed, counting tips toward it

Your tips, on your card multiple times a day, with no fee to you

No booth rent, no back bar bill, no color you buy yourself

Health, dental and vision insurance, and paid time off, for eligible employees

Education, in the salon and through the virtual Regis Education Playground: every service in the book, plus the business side of building a clientele

Full time or part time, on a schedule we build with you

A current Florida cosmetology or barber license

Positive energy and enthusiasm

Creativity, and a passion for the work
