Description

The Manufacturing Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and installing manufacturing equipment, facility systems, and production support equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations. This position requires a strong mechanical aptitude with experience in welding, plumbing, pumps, piping systems, and general facility maintenance. The Maintenance Technician responds to equipment failures, performs preventative maintenance, and supports continuous improvement initiatives across the facility.


Primary Functions

Perform preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment, facility systems, and production machinery. 

Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical equipment. 

Perform MIG, TIG, and/or Stick welding for equipment repairs, fabrication, and facility maintenance. 

Repair, install, and maintain pumps, motors, piping, plumbing, valves, and related utility systems. 

Fabricate brackets, guards, platforms, and other components as needed. 

Diagnose equipment failures and complete repairs to minimize production downtime. 

Install and relocate production equipment and facility infrastructure. 

Assist with HVAC, compressed air, water, and utility systems as needed. 

Replace worn or damaged machine components including bearings, belts, chains, motors, and gearboxes. 

Maintain maintenance records and complete work orders accurately. 

Assist with contractor coordination and facility improvement projects. 

Maintain a clean and safe work environment. 

Follow all OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and PPE requirements. 

Perform other maintenance and facility duties as assigned. 



Requirements

SKILLS AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS

Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school preferred. 

Experience: 3-5 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment. 

Proficiencies: Welding, pumps, plumbing, hydraulics, pneumatics, and basic electrical troubleshooting. 

Attributes: Dependable, mechanically inclined, safety-focused, and team-oriented.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Frequently stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces. 

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly. 

Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and maintenance equipment. 

Ability to work in varying temperatures and manufacturing environments. 

Ability to work at heights

Ability to work in tight spaces
