Position Description
What to Expect
Primary
  • Fabrication, welding and assembly of commercial hollow metal doors, wood doors, and door frames from shop drawings.
  • Operate fabrication tools and equipment while maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
  • Work with both wood and metal materials.
  • Ensure quality and compliance with company and customer tolerances.

Secondary
  • Assist with the installation, service, and repair of commercial doors, frames, and hardware as needed.
  • Travel to jobsites in Topeka, KS and surrounding areas (typically within 120 miles) to support installation and service work, with occasional overnight travel as needed.

Position Requirements
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Basic skills in fabrication, welding, carpentry, mechanical and/or construction.
  • Ability to read a tape measure, follow blueprints, and work instructions.
  • Willingness to learn commercial door, frame, and hardware fabrication and installation through on-the-job training.
  • Ability to lift up to 100 lbs.
  • Must successfully complete all post-offer and pre-employment requirements.
