Position: HVAC Commercial Technician Apprentice

Piedmont Service Group has been providing HVAC services to clients in NC, SC, and VA since 1971!

We are currently looking for an experienced HVAC Commercial Service Technician Apprentice to join our team in Raleigh, NC.

Requirements

As a HVAC Commercial Technician Apprentice for Piedmont Service Group, you will need to have the following skills and competencies:An active willingness to work under a seasoned Technician to learn the service, repair, and installation of all Commercial HVAC equipment encountered on PSG customer sites. (Hydronic, Steam, Chilled Water, DX, Forced Air, Heat Pump, VAV, Constant Volume, Exhaust, and Heat Recovery)

  • Maintaining tools, supplies and equipment
  • Passing a background check
  • Performing preventive maintenance on equipment under the direction of a PSG Technician
  • Following all safety requirements and use appropriate PPE
  • Following written project installation plans when working on projects
  • Keeping appropriate records of work hours
  • Flexibility to work extended shifts (e.g. early mornings and late nights)

Job Requirements:

  • Valid NC drivers' license or other reliable mode of transportation
  • Willingness to obtain CFC certification (Universal or Type II)
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Must be able to work independently and as a team member
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
  • Reliable transportation
