Palmetto Electric Group is a fast-growing, family-owned electrical contractor serving residential, commercial, and light industrial clients throughout the Midlands of South Carolina.

We are looking for a dependable, skilled electrician who takes pride in clean, code-compliant work and strong customer communication.

Position Overview

The Electrician will perform residential and light commercial electrical installations, service work, troubleshooting, and generator installations in accordance with NEC and local code requirements.


This position requires someone who can work independently, manage job tasks efficiently, and represent the company professionally in the field.


Responsibilities

  • Install and troubleshoot electrical systems (120/240V single-phase primarily)
  • Perform service panel upgrades (100A–400A)
  • Install generators, interlocks, and transfer switches
  • Run conduit (EMT, PVC, MC,)
  • Diagnose electrical issues and provide repair solutions
  • Install lighting, receptacles, breakers, subpanels, and EV chargers
  • Ensure all work meets NEC and local AHJ requirements
  • Maintain a clean and organized job site
  • Communicate clearly with homeowners and project managers
  • Complete daily job documentation

Qualifications

  • 3+ years field experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of NEC
  • Experience with panel swaps and service work
  • Ability to read plans and wiring diagrams
  • Comfortable working in attics and crawlspaces
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs
  • Professional appearance and communication skills
