Basic Function/Job Overview:

This position is responsible for supervising the installation, delivery, and safety practices of all installation team members working on their assigned project in accordance with Company standards. This position is responsible for enforcing all Company quality and personnel policies and procedures on their assigned job-sites. Strong knowledge in the installation of cabinetry and millwork, strong knowledge in the construction of cabinetry and millwork materials, good leadership skills, good organization, self-management and problem-solving skills are required to effectively perform this job.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a job-site supervisor for your assigned project, responsible for the safety, quality, productivity, and timeliness of job completion, while also acting as a liaison with the client, project manager, and other team members to complete all projects according to Company standards.
  • Lead and perform the layout and installation of various types of cabinetry and related millwork per architectural drawings for each assigned job.
  • Arrive and depart directly to assigned job sites and perform installation duties and supervise other job-site operations, including deliveries and team member productivity.
  • Monitoring of Job-site progress, quality, and safety of installation team members, document status and issues, and provide regular reports to management.
  • Provide training for new team members, and monitor team member compliance with to standard work including the safe use of tools and equipment.
  • Apply LEAN concepts to all aspects of job.
  • Assist
    the with team member performance evaluations, and provide input on discipline, hiring and termination actions.
  • Prepare and monitor the preparation and submission of team member time cards, daily progress reports, and field change orders in accordance to Company policy.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives that support Company objectives.
  • Complete other duties as assigned

Essential Duties & Requirements:

This position requires the ability to work extended hours to meet deadlines. The position also requires ability to stand, kneel, stoop, squat, and climb and stand on ladders and/or scaffolding, for extended periods. This position requires good eye-hand coordination and use hands to demonstrate
proficiency with specialty power tools. This position requires ability to think creatively, read English, write English, read blueprints and other architectural drawings, see, talk, write, understand and speak English, and hear.
Ability to research, evaluate and recommend alternatives is required. The position requires ability to communicate effectively with team members and/or clients. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift and/or move items up to 150 pounds and frequently lift and/or move 75 pounds. In addition, the position requires knowledge of mathematical principles, including but not limited to, basic geometry, counting, reading tape measures, calculating angles and radii rise and run, and calculation of fractions.
Ability to regularly satisfy contract background and substance abuse test standards, as required, is also required. Must maintain a satisfactory driving record and satisfactory criminal background.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Good Leadership skills.
  • 1 year or more experience in managing job site work crews and installing custom work in a similar industry.
  • Expertise in the installation and supervision of commercial casework and millwork.
  • Good communication and customer service skills across all organizational levels in person and over the phone.
  • Excellent planning and organization skills-prioritizes and plans work activities; develops realistic action plans, uses time efficiently; plans for additional resources; organizes or schedules other people and their tasks.
  • Strong problem solving, decision-making and reasoning skills, combined with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to read blueprint-type drawings and/or layouts, shop drawings and construction drawings for customized casework or millwork.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Skill and accuracy with mathematical concepts and calculations.
  • Good ability to calculate various angles, rise and run distances and other measurements related to customized casework and millwork.
  • Strong understanding of carpentry and construction principles, standards, and terminology.
  • Expertise in the use of the following power tools, compound mitre saw, table saw, router, biscuit cutter, belt sander, jig saw, and circular saw.
  • Must be able to travel to job-site(s) as assigned.
  • Endurance and ability to visit entire job site, including stairs or other elevated structures.
  • Ability to work extended hours as required.

Desired Knowledge and Skills:

  • Knowledge of Anton Cabinetry's products, services and manufacturing operations.
  • Good knowledge of OSHA requirements for the construction industry.

Experience Preferred or Educational Equivalent:

Preferred:

  • 2 years or more experience with laying out, cutting and fitting custom prefinished or laminate clad casework and millwork.
  • 2 years or more experience in supervising work crews and job sites in a similar industry.

Training, Certification and/or Educational Requirements:

Preferred:

  • 30-hour OSHA certification in sections 1926
  • First Aid & CPR Certification.
  • Industrial Lift Truck Certification.
  • LEAN Training or certification.
  • Vocational or technical coursework in woodworking.
  • Training in management or leadership.
