RESPONSIBILITIES
The Lead Technician will be in charge of the full scope of the job, overseeing and managing an Installation Technician / Assistant Installation Technician to complete jobs. The Lead Installation Technician will install and set up audio, video, lighting, voice/data, security, and control systems in high-end residences and some commercial spaces. The Lead Installation Technician will work mostly in the field, traveling to job sites around the Denver area as well as homes in the mountains.
Our ideal candidate enjoys taking the lead and guiding new technicians, and takes pride in his or her workmanship, and is always open to learning and developing new skills. A passion for the industry and a team mentality is crucial.
Some specific job responsibilities include:
• Lead installation of smart home equipment according to project bid
• Manage Assistant Installation Technician on job site and communicate job progress to necessary team members
• Identify and propose solutions to potential design problems or equipment incompatibility
• Troubleshooting on-site issues and determining the best solution
• Diagnose advanced service calls
• Identify key aspects of a project to ensure that any obstacle will be overcome and that the project will be a success
• Run and terminate wires such as CAT6, COAX, and Fiber
• Install, configure, and oversee Assistant Installation Technician on install of Control4, cameras, networks, motorized shades, security
systems, audio and video equipment, integrated lighting, smart thermostats, streaming devices, rack
• Set up and manage rack configuration
• Run and terminate wires such as CAT6, COAX, and Fiber
• Advanced programming of all devices in Control4
• Complete all necessary job documentation and paperwork
• Manage van inventory
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
• Minimum 2 years installation experience in the AV industry
• Control4 Associate Installer and Automation Programmer certifications are required

• Thorough understanding of and experience with smart home systems and the software they utilize
• Networking, security, AV, and rack-building experience required
• Ability to trouble-shoot audio, video, and control system problems.
• Proficient in using basic power tools and hand tools
• General knowledge of construction is required
• Must be able to lead and direct supporting technician, make decisions, and take action when necessary
• Passion for smart home systems and the software they utilize
• Ability to read and understand schematic drawings and plans
• Must be responsible and able to work independently
• Must have impeccable attention to detail and pride in workmanship
• Ability to engage in strategic and creative problem solving
• Ability to manage multiple projects and successfully meet project deadlines
• Exceptional organization skills and ability to multitask
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and think clearly
• Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills
• Must be reliable and arrive to work on time
