HVAC On-Site Project Manager
Job Summary: The HVAC On-Site Project Manager in the Construction division is responsible for overseeing and leading a team of HVAC technicians and installers on various construction projects. This role is crucial in ensuring that HVAC systems are installed efficiently, safely, to budget, and according to building codes and design specifications. The On-Site PM acts as the primary point of contact between crew members, general contractor, project trade partners, and project management, ensuring that project deadlines and quality standards are met.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership amp; Supervision:
    • Lead and manage a team of HVAC technicians and installers on construction sites.
    • Coordinate daily tasks according to project priorities and schedules.
    • Provide guidance and training to crew members to enhance skill levels and performance.
    • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and company policies.
  • Project Management:
    • Review project plans, blueprints, budgets, and specifications to understand the scope and specific HVAC requirements.
    • Monitor project progress and adjust schedules as necessary to meet deadlines.
    • Liaise with project managers, engineers, and other trade foremen to coordinate work sequences and resolve issues.
    • Manage material inventory, ensuring timely availability of supplies without overstocking.
  • Installation amp; Quality Control:
    • Oversee the installation, repair, and maintenance of HVAC systems, including ductwork, piping, and refrigeration components.
    • Ensure all installations meet the required standards and are completed in compliance with relevant regulations and building codes.
    • Conduct inspections and quality checks to maintain high standards of work and workmanship.
  • Communication amp; Reporting:
    • Communicate effectively with clients, engineers, and project managers to provide updates and address concerns.
    • Maintain accurate records and logs of daily work activities and project milestones.
    • Prepare and submit progress reports and timesheets to the project manager.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED; trade school certification preferred; college degree a plus.
  • Several years of experience in HVAC installation and repair, with a minimum of 3 years in a supervisory role.
  • Proficient understanding of HVAC systems, blueprints, and design specifications.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure and multitask effectively.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards.
  • Valid driverโ€™s license and reliable transportation; plus ability to meet driving requirements for company vehicles.

Physical Demands amp; Cognitive Requirements:
