Lead HVAC Installer

Location: Northbrook, IL

Pay: $32/hr-$42/hr

AA Service Company is looking for an experienced Lead HVAC Installer who takes pride in doing things the right way. We're not looking for someone who simply swaps equipment—we're looking for a craftsman who values quality workmanship, exceptional customer service, and leaving every installation better than they found it.

If you enjoy solving challenges, building custom sheet metal, mentoring others, and delivering a five-star experience for homeowners, we'd love to talk to you.

What You'll Do
  • Lead residential HVAC system installations from start to finish
  • Install furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, air handlers, and indoor air quality products
  • Fabricate and install residential ductwork and fittings
  • Remove and replace existing HVAC equipment
  • Perform system startups, testing, and quality checks
  • Ensure all installations meet manufacturer specifications, company standards, and local codes
  • Communicate professionally with homeowners throughout the installation process
  • Maintain accurate job documentation and installation records
  • Keep work areas clean and organized
  • Train and mentor installation helpers and apprentices
  • Deliver a five-star customer experience on every job
Who We're Looking For

We're not looking for someone who just hangs equipment.

We're looking for the installer everyone else calls when things get complicated. The one who takes pride in clean work, knows their way around sheet metal, treats customers the right way, and leaves every job better than they found it.

You're Our Person If You:

✔ Hold an EPA Certification

✔ Have 5+ years of residential HVAC installation experience

✔ Can independently install furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and related equipment

✔ Know sheet metal layout and fabrication and can build what the job needs

✔ Understand proper equipment sizing, layout, and replacement procedures

✔ Have strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

✔ Take pride in delivering a five-star customer experience

✔ Can follow processes, installation standards, and safety procedures without cutting corners

✔ Have your own basic HVAC installation tools

✔ Can lift 50+ pounds, climb ladders, and handle the physical side of the job

Bonus Points If You Have:

⭐ Experience with boiler installations and hydronic systems

⭐ Experience with cast iron and high-efficiency boilers

⭐ Service Titan experience

⭐ NATE Certification

⭐ Startup and commissioning experience
