Job Title: Installation Supervisor
Department:  Automation Implementation

Location: Central, Texas
Employment Type: Full Time


The Installation Supervisor will oversee multiple crews (both internal and subcontracted) to manage the installation of material handling systems and support automation and mechanical build projects. This role requires strong technical knowledge, including reading construction drawings, operating forklifts, rigging and lifting, welding, fabrication, and general hand tool use. The ideal candidate has a technical degree or equivalent experience, familiarity with material handling systems, and proficiency in MS Office. Success in this role also requires excellent communication skills, the ability to work around customer schedules, and up to 75% travel.


OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Running of multiple crews (combination of company crews and subcontractors)
  • Oversee mechanical installations
  • Assist in build of automation and mechanical projects 
  • Install material handling systems

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIREMENTS

  • Reading and understanding construction drawing plans
  • Driving forklifts and other industrial equipment
  • Proper rigging and lifting techniques
  • Welding and metal fabrication
  • Use of hand tools
  • troubleshooting conveyor issues.
  • understanding low voltage wiring.
  • robotics experience is a plus.
  • Fabrication skills.

PROFESSIONAL QUALITIES

  • Technical degree or equivalent work experience
  • Familiar with material handling systems
  • Ability and willingness to learn new technologies quickly
  • Willingness to work around customers schedule in order to minimize customer downtime
