Job description

AWS is looking for an early-career Brand Designer to help shape how the world experiences AWS - in person and across the brand system that makes it all possible.
This is a rare opportunity for a designer at the start of their career to work on some of the largest brand stages in technology. The environments you help design won't live on a screen alone - they'll be built, lit, walked through, photographed, and remembered.

Your work will range from building brand system assets and presentation materials to designing large-format signage and environmental moments - always grounded in craft and always serving the bigger brand story.
You are a craftsperson with a love for both the visual and the spatial. You care about the strategy and reasoning behind design decisions.

You'll learn from senior designers and creative directors, contribute to a global events system, and grow your craft on work with real scale and real audiences.
Key job responsibilities
Bringing Events to Life
Design the visual expression of AWS events - translating campaign strategy and brand positioning into experiences people move through and remember
Design for scale and impact across presentations, activations, signage, and shared spaces
Bring strong foundational design craft - typography, color, composition, hierarchy, scale - to large-format and spatial contexts
Explore multiple creative directions and bring a clear point of view to how a moment should look and feel
Apply and extend the AWS brand system into experiential and environmental touchpoints, keeping every expression coherent and on-brand
Brand System & Asset Production
Execute within and extend the AWS event brand system - maintaining templates, component libraries, and reusable assets
Produce presentation decks, brand guideline documents, and digital assets with precision and consistency
Manage asset production end-to-end once direction is set - from initial layout through file prep, export, and handoff
Surface inconsistencies across deliverables and propose system-level fixes that strengthen coherence
Keep reference files, brand kits, and shared libraries organized and current
Collaboration & Production
Partner with event producers, creative directors, marketing leads, copywriters, and fabrication vendors to bring concepts to life on time and on brand
Prepare production-ready design for print, large-format, fabrication, and live environments - grounded in the realities of material, scale, lighting, and install
Manage your own deliverables and timelines, raising blockers early - before they become urgent
Learn the end-to-end rhythm of global event production and grow into a trusted creative partner
Growth & Team
Contribute to a shared library of experiential templates and reusable brand elements that help the whole team move faster
Give and receive feedback in design critiques, growing your craft and helping raise the bar
Bring energy, curiosity, and fresh ideas - and a point of view on where experiential design is heading
A day in the life
This is a role within AWS Brand & Creative, reporting to a design leader on the team and based in Seattle, WA. You'll join a team that believes brand is everything we make, say, and do - and that the moments we create in the physical world are some of the most powerful expressions of who AWS is.

Why this role is exciting: Few early-career design roles offer this kind of stage. You'll help shape a global events system that reaches audiences at a scale most designers wait years to touch. You'll see your work built and experienced live.

You'll balance high-visibility creative moments with the steady craft of production design - and you'll learn that both matter equally. And you'll grow alongside a team that cares deeply about craft, creativity, and the belief that great design changes how the world perceives AWS.
