Job description

We are seeking skilled Journeyman Electrician with 309A license to join our growing team. We specialize in new construction builds and the maintenance, repair and installation of electrical systems in accordance with current electrical codes and customer specifications. We promote working safely and efficiently, with a keen eye on keeping customer's equipment running well.

Role:

  • Cut, thread, bend, assemble, and install conduits and other types of electrical conductor enclosures and fittings
  • Pull wire and cable through conduits, position, maintain and install distribution and control equipment such as switches, relays, circuit breaker panels, and fuse enclosures, install single and multi-wire cables above and underground, install data cabling, and install and maintain fiber optic and signaling systems
  • Work in the full range of environmental conditions: including outside in all weather
  • Install fixtures and devices for industrial applications and systems
  • Perform well with mechanical ability and a thorough knowledge of the principles of electricity, circuitry, and power distribution systems, and familiarity with the materials and techniques of construction
  • Safely troubleshoot repairs logically and efficiently
  • General building maintence task, Example, door repair, lock repair, minor plumbing, minor carpentry may be required as well.

Who are you?

  • Minimum of 5+ years of trade experience 
  • Knowledge of Ontario Electrical Safety Code, Occupational Health and Safety Act, and all other applicable legislation required
  • Building Automation Controls experience
  • Fire Alarm experience
  • Power and Distribution panel experience
  • Self-motivated, and willing to learn
  • Work well independently and be a team player
  • Good writing and verbal communication skills
  • Basic computer application knowledge, example: CMMS
  • Excellent interpersonal relationship skills
