Job description

Are you a level 1 or 2 carpenter's helper looking for an atmosphere where you are supported in a positive culture while progressing toward your career goals? We are currently looking for an Carpenter's Helper to join our teamย in Ottawa, ON. The role will perform a variety of residential construction-related duties to support the delivery of project schedules. The Carpenter's Helper must have working knowledge of the residential construction industry and uphold the highest safety standards while on the job.

Your contributions to the team:ย 

  • General carpentry such as framing, hoarding and other activities as assigned
  • Build or assist in back framing, stair forming and site amenities
  • Fabricate and install wooden components according to specifications
  • Operate hand and power tools
  • Practice workplace safety at all time
  • Perform other duties as required

What you need to be successful:ย 

  • Experience in wood frame residential construction
  • Demonstrated knowledge of all building techniques, building codes, and safety regulationsย 
  • Established excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Physical ability to work in all weather conditions
