Role Overview:

A fire sprinkler system installation technician helper assists foremen (experienced technicians) in installing, repairing, and maintaining fire sprinkler systems in commercial, residential, and industrial buildings. This entry-level role is ideal for individuals looking to build skills in fire protection and construction trades.

Core responsibilities:

  • Assist installers/fitters with layout, assembly, and installation of fire sprinkler piping and related equipment.
  • Carry tools, materials, and equipment to and from the job site.
  • Cut, thread, and install pipes under supervision.
  • Help with measuring, drilling, hanging pipe supports, and preparing work areas.
  • Load and unload materials, ensuring equipment is properly organized.
  • Support in testing systems for proper operation and compliance with local, state and federal codes.
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Operate basic hand and power tools (examples: drills, saws, pipe wrenches, etc.)
