What You Will Do:

  • Perform installation or service work as designated in profitable and proper manner. Record productive time versus travel time.

  • Maintaining accurate work records, adequate parts inventory for service vehicle. keep inventory log.

  • Keeping manuals up to date, and maintain company vehicles, tools and other property in accordance with established procedures.

  • Presenting neat and clean appearance personally and in workmanship, in accordance with company policies.

  • Testing equipment before leaving job site and perform safety check.

  • Maintaining good customer relations and customer service.

  • Assisting others in install/service methods and other duties as may be required.

  • Modeling, fostering and driving the Allegion values including Accountability, Respect, Integrity, Vision, Stretch, Boundaryless and Speed.

  • Other duties as required.

What You Need to Succeed:

  • Diploma in a related carpentry, electrical, mechanical, industrial field or the equivalent combination of education and related work experience.

  • Ability to work outside in various climate conditions.

  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record.

  • Must be capable of meeting the following physical demands including, but not limited to: lifting or carrying weights form 50-75 lbs., sitting while driving for periods of up to several hours each day, standing on concrete for several hours each day, stooping, crouching, kneeling, crawling and twisting spine occasionally.

  • Ability to Frequently go up and down ladders.

  • Ability to work around the following conditions: moving vehicles, object, hazardous machinery, sharp tools cluttered floors, slippery floors, electrical hazards, poor lighting and wet conditions.

  • Must be able to read basic blueprints.

  • Ability to work independently and within teams.

  • Good oral and written communication skills.

  • Must be proficient in basic computer functions such as email and MS Word.

Additional Preferred Skills & Knowledge:

  • Prior experience in the automated door industry including swinging, sliding and revolving doors would be a definite asset.

  • Prior experience in the construction industry or electrical field

  • Prior experience servicing automated doors, glazing, installing glass, installing door frames, building door frames, reading blueprints, AAADM Certification
