Job description

About the role:

As a Fab & Install Electrician you will fabricate and install conduit, cable, breakers, junction boxes, control panels and structural components in an operating industrial manufacturing facility. Pull, terminate and splice cable and wire. Move, assemble and install all types and sizes of machinery and equipment.

You will report to the Fabrication and Installation Manager and be located at Columbia, SC. You will support this role 100% onsite.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Fit, cut, bend, grind, thread and torch metal and other materials in accordance with engineered drawings and specifications.
  • Assemble conduit, cable tray, bus duct, machinery, panels, breakers, switchgear and structural members in fabrication shop and plant locations.
  • Measure, bend, cut and fit small and large bore (3 and 4") conduit
  • Pull and terminate cable, wire and fiber optic cable. Transport, rig and hoist materials and equipment.
  • Read and interpret drawings, schematics and specifications.
Qualifications:
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • 5 years related experience in industrial construction or fabrication.
  • Can demonstrate basic mechanical skills in fabrication, cable installation, and terminations. NFPA 70E qualified.
  • Capable of respirator qualification.
