Job description

DEL-AIR Heating, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration, Inc. is a growing industry leader with seven locations serving Central Florida - Clermont, Davenport, Tampa, Jacksonville, Melbourne, Sanford (headquarters), and Sarasota.

The HVAC Residential Install Field Supervisor is primarily responsible of directing and coordinating activities of installers to obtain optimum efficiency and economy of operations and maximize profits.

Specific Duties & Tasks:

  • Assists with plans, development and implement organizational policies and goals in the location as directed by the General Manager.
  • Coordinates activities of Residential install and replacement crews, to effect operational efficiency and economy.
  • Reviews work performed by installation staff with customers on job site to determine satisfaction.
  • Resolves customer complaints regarding equipment, supplies and services with the assistance/support of the General Manager.
  • Analyzes department budget requests to identify areas in which reductions can be made and allocates operating budget.
  • Confers with the location Branch Manager and reviews activities and costs to determine changes or improvements in current programs or operations required.
  • Explains and ensures that the directives outlining policy, programs, or operations are followed by subordinates.
  • Assists the Location Manager in maintaining costs at PDP levels for the area of responsibility assigned.
  • Ensure developed production levels are achieved and maintained.
  • Directly support subordinates through motivation, leadership, and technical know-how.
  • Initiates Performance Reviews for subordinates as defined by policy.
  • Ensures production output meets standards developed by location for completed jobs.
  • Defines the efficient layout of jobs under supervision with the assistance of the General Manager and the Estimating/Engineering Department.

Qualifications:

  • Have a minimum of 5 years of HVAC field experience.
  • Computer literate with adequate knowledge in MS Office Suite – Word, Excel, PowerPoint; working knowledge of basic office equipment.
  • Prior experience in managing employees, preferred.
  • Always obtain a valid driver’s license and able to meet FCCI auto guidelines to operate a company-owned vehicle.
  • EPA Certification
  • Eligible to legally work in the United States.
  • Be at least 18 years of age.
  • Ability to speak Spanish preferred.
  • Successfully complete a background check and drug screen.
