What are Inspection Assistants?

Inspection Assistants are professionals who support inspectors by preparing documentation, scheduling appointments, assisting during site visits, and ensuring that all necessary materials and data are collected for inspections. They play a key role in maintaining records, communicating with clients or team members, and ensuring that inspection processes run smoothly and efficiently. Their work helps inspectors focus on the technical aspects of their job while ensuring that all administrative and logistical tasks are handled effectively.

What is the highest paid inspection job?

The highest paid inspection jobs are often senior roles such as Quality Control Managers or Inspection Directors, who oversee inspection processes across industries like manufacturing, aerospace, or oil and gas. These positions typically require extensive experience, certifications, and leadership skills, with salaries reaching six figures in many cases.

What is the difference between Inspection Assistant vs Quality Control Technician?

The roles often overlap but differ in scope and certification requirements.

What is the work of assistant inspector?

An inspection assistant supports inspectors by preparing inspection sites, collecting data, and documenting findings. They may also help with equipment setup, safety checks, and ensuring compliance with regulations, often working under the supervision of a licensed inspector. Strong attention to detail and knowledge of safety standards are important for this role.

How does an Inspection Assistant typically collaborate with inspectors and other team members during the inspection process?

Inspection Assistants play a key supporting role by preparing documentation, gathering necessary equipment, and ensuring all required materials are available for the inspector. During inspections, they often take notes, photograph findings, and help organize collected data to streamline reporting. Close collaboration with inspectors and sometimes administrative staff is vital, as clear communication ensures that inspections run smoothly and all compliance requirements are met. This teamwork not only increases efficiency but also provides valuable learning opportunities for professional growth.

How much do home inspectors get paid per house?

Inspection assistants or home inspectors typically do not get paid per house but earn an hourly wage or salary, which can range from $15 to $30 per hour depending on experience, location, and company. Some inspectors may charge clients a flat fee for inspections, usually between $300 and $500 per property, but this fee is paid by the client, not the inspector per house inspected.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an Inspection Assistant, and why are they important?

To thrive as an Inspection Assistant, you need strong attention to detail, basic knowledge of inspection processes, and typically a high school diploma or equivalent. Familiarity with inspection software, digital cameras, and reporting systems is often required. Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills help you stand out in this role. These abilities ensure accurate inspections, clear reporting, and efficient support for inspectors and clients.

What jobs pay 4000 a week without a degree?

Inspection assistants typically do not earn $4,000 a week without specialized experience or certifications. High-paying roles that can reach this level often include skilled trades such as commercial pilots, real estate brokers, or sales managers, which may require licenses or extensive experience but not necessarily a college degree. These jobs usually involve significant responsibility, technical skills, or sales performance to achieve such income levels.

This is aย full-time W-2 roleย where your performance directly impacts what you earn and how quickly you advance.

Why Southern National Roofing

Southern National Roofing is where effort turns into opportunity. We train from the ground up, promote based on performance, and reward people who execute. Many of our leaders started in entry-level roles such as retail, customer service, warehouse, hospitality, restaurant server, bartender, receptionist, or administrative assistant positions before building successful careers in sales.

We're a $20M+ residential roofing company, ranked #93 on the Roofing Contractor Top 100 list, #116 of the Top 500 Largest Remodeling Firms in the Nation, #379 on the Inc. 5000 Fastest-Growing Companies list, and are BBB Accredited with an A+ rating. We're also a Top 2% Master Elite Roofer, a designation earned by fewer than 2% of contractors nationwide.

If you're confident talking to people, like being active, and want a real path forward beyond traditional retail, warehouse, hotel, or customer service jobs, this is the role for you.

The Role

As a Field Inspector, you'll work in residential neighborhoods identifying homes that may qualify for a free roof inspection and scheduling inspection appointments with homeowners.

This role is ideal for people with backgrounds in customer service, retail, hospitality, bartending, serving, warehouse work, administrative assistant roles, or receptionist positions who want to transition into a higher-earning career path.

You are not selling and not climbing roofs.

You are inspecting from the ground, educating homeowners, and setting appointments for our in-home inspection team.

This is a face-to-face, field-based position, similar to roles that require strong people skills such as sales, customer service, hospitality, or retail environments.

What You'll Do
  • Walk assigned residential neighborhoods
  • Speak directly with homeowners at their homes
  • Perform basic, ground-level visual inspections
  • Explain our free roof inspection service
  • Schedule inspection appointments
  • Work outdoors and stay active

People who succeed in this role often come from backgrounds like:

    • Retail associate
    • Warehouse associate
    • Bartender or restaurant server
    • Receptionist or administrative assistant
    • Hotel or hospitality staff
    • Customer service representative
Compensation
  • W-2 full-time position
  • Hourly pay + commission + performance bonuses
  • Many first-year team members earn $40,000-$70,000+
  • Earnings vary based on performance and consistency
Schedule
  • On-site role
  • Monday-Saturday availability between 9am-7pm
  • No overnight travel
  • Team transportation provided from the office

If you're looking to move beyond retail, warehouse, restaurant, or hospitality work and want a role with paid training, weekly pay, and real advancement, apply today.

We are urgently hiring and training new team members now.

  • A valid drivers license and reliable vehicle (to get to and from the office)
  • Ability to work 40 hrs between 9am - 7pm, Mon -Sat

Benefits

  • Average first-year income range: $40,000 - $70,000+ (Hourly Pay + Commission + Bonuses)
  • Recognition and rewards for high performance
  • Health + Dental + Vision Benefits
  • 401K
  • Ongoing sales training and coaching
  • A robust social program filled with events and activities
