Job description

Customer Insights & Analytics Analyst

GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
Provie internal and external data to help uncover single and multi-price point white space and assortment opportunities across the Dollar Tree categories to drive incremental traffic and sales. As the organization looks to increase and improve customer relative assortment, it is necessary to deliver support to themerchants to understand performance of current market items and potential incremental opportunities. Dedicated individuals to the mining of this data are imperative to the successful integration of the right new items for our shopper.


ESSENTIAL ACTIVIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support the development and execution of merchandising strategies and decision making by delivering timely, accurate, and actionable insights derived from syndicated data and customer research.
  • Support strategic initiatives with rigorous analytics, utilizing third party data sources including Nielsen, Numerator, 1010, Circana, and customer research.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of daily and weekly standardized reporting.
  • Organize and evaluate large data sets to assist with the development of "white space" and assortment recommendations to drive traffic and sales.
  • Assist with senior leader presentations by preparing data driven content.
  • Assist in customer research initiatives to inform marketing strategies and optimize campaign effectiveness.
  • Help lead training efforts with merchandising and marketing resources to promote best practices in data interpretation and usage.
  • Identify, prioritize, and initiate data collection process improvements to improve team efficiency.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIRED:

  • Bachelors Degree (BA / BS/ BFA) or equivalent, and 1-2 years experience.
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills. Able to generate and evaluate hypotheses and create narratives for senior leaders.
  • Detail-oriented. Comfortable working with numerical data and information.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated initiative, independent thinker and worker.
  • Team player in a collaborative environment.
  • Deadline oriented. Ability to anticipate and address conflicts, to skillfully negotiate, and deliver great outcomes.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office products, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Must be willing to relocate to Chesapeake, VA

Start Rate = $75,000-$84,500K based on experience plus 10% bonus.
