Job description

Our client, a technology solutions provider, needs a Microsoft Purview Engineer for a full-time role. The Microsoft Purview Engineer will work remotely PST hours and be responsible for architecting solutions, building automation, integrating Purview withing security data and ecosystem, and other areas.
Required Skills:
  • 7+ years of security experience and 3 years focused on Microsoft Purview or previous predecessors such as Microsoft 365 Compliance Center or Azure Purview.
  • 5 years of experience across Purview portfolio including data loss prevention, information protection, insider risk management, record management, eDiscovery, communication compliance, etc.
  • 5+ years of experience with M365, Entra ID, and Azure governance tools.
  • Strong experience with PowerShell and Microsoft Graph API. Understanding of KQL is strongly preferred.
  • 4+ years working with Security frameworks including HIPAA, PCI-DSS, SOX, ISO 27001, NIST, and GDPR.

Desired Skills:
  • Microsoft certifications
  • Previous experience integrating Purview in non-Microsoft data environments including AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Snowflake, Salesforce, etc.
  • Previous experience protecting data within Snowflake
  • IAM, SIEM, SOAR, CrowdStrike, Microsoft Sentinel, or AI
