Role Description This full-time, on-site Inside Sales Engineer role is based in Nashville, TN. The Inside Sales Engineer will handle incoming customer inquiries, prepare and follow up on quotations, and assist with product selection for intelligent building and control systems. Responsibilities include interpreting project specifications, generating accurate bills of material, and coordinating with outside sales and vendors to support customer needs. The role involves providing technical support on product applications, troubleshooting basic issues, and communicating clearly with customers by phone and email. The Inside Sales Engineer will also maintain CRM and order entry data, track opportunities, and collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely fulfillment and high customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
  • Strong Inside Sales, Sales, and customer relationship skills, with the ability to manage multiple inquiries and opportunities.
  • Experience in Sales Engineering and preparing detailed Quotations for technical products or building systems.
  • Ability to provide Technical Support, including basic troubleshooting, product selection, and application guidance.
  • Familiarity with intelligent building products, HVAC controls, or building automation systems is highly beneficial.
  • Proficiency with CRM and ERP/order entry systems, and solid skills in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Outlook).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
  • Ability to work on-site in Nashville, TN, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in engineering, technology, or a related field, or equivalent technical sales experience.
