Job description

Innovative Ventures (affiliated with Metro Infectious Disease Consultants) is seeking a Full-Time Medical Infusion Biller who would be responsible for performing all office and hospital billing, infusion collections, and associated tasks. Responsibilities assigned to this individual can and will change at any time at the discretion of management or the supervisor.

This role would be located in-person at the corporate location in Burr Ridge, IL.

Specific Duties (examples):

  • Print appointment schedule and track billing for each assigned billing location.
  • Bill out infusions daily, checking accuracy of HCPC code, drug quantity matches EMR documentation and pharmacy delivery ticket.
  • Print and mail all HCFA 1500 forms to insurance companies, look up primary explanation of benefits and attach to secondary insurance claim.
  • Track drug for any patients that were not infused, work with clinic and pharmacy on returning drug.
  • Responsible for checking accuracy of patient demographics, checking insurance etc.
  • All assigned billing tasks to be monitored and reported to direct supervisor.
  • Working with clinical staff on any missing documentation in order to complete billing in a timely manner.
  • Other duties and tasks as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
  • Experience in medical billing practices required
  • Experience in Microsoft Suite and Outlook Preferred
  • Experience in CPR+ and/or CareTend preferred
  • Proof of current vaccinations, including recommended boosters, commonly required for those working with immunocompromised patients, including measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, hepatitis A & B, influenza, and COVID-19.
    • Requests for accommodations/exceptions will be considered on a case-by-case basis, consistent with applicable laws.
