This position is based onsite at our state-of-the-art Surgical Center located in the heart of Los Angeles. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough patient evaluations to gather comprehensive medical histories and assess individual pain conditions.
  • Order and interpret various diagnostic tests, including X-rays and blood analyses, to aid in the diagnostic process.
  • Formulate effective treatment plans for both acute illnesses and chronic pain conditions, ensuring each plan is tailored to individual patient needs.
  • Prescribe medications judiciously, while carefully monitoring patient responses and adjusting treatment regimens based on effectiveness and side effects.
  • Maintain detailed and organized patient records, ensuring compliance with health regulations and efficient appointment scheduling.
  • Educate patients and their families about health issues, treatment options, and preventive care strategies to empower them in managing their health.
  • Advocate for holistic health and well-being, ensuring patient satisfaction and optimal outcomes through high-quality care.
  • Engage in ongoing educational opportunities and research initiatives to stay abreast of advancements in pain management and physician assistant practices.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The target population consists primarily of individuals dealing with acute and chronic pain conditions, including but not limited to post-surgical pain, arthritis, fibromyalgia, and neuropathic pain. You will work with a diverse demographic, providing care that respects cultural sensitivities and addressing the unique challenges faced by each patient. Your work will directly impact their recovery journey and quality of life.

Qualifications
  • Current, valid State Physician Assistant license (PA-C) is required.
  • Possess an active DEA number to prescribe controlled medications.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Physician Assistant studies from an accredited program.
  • Strong clinical background with experience in primary care or pain management settings is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in understanding patient care regulations and medical ethics.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients and healthcare team members.
Preferred Experience
  • A Master's degree in Physician Assistant studies is preferred.
  • Prior experience in a clinical, hospital, urgent care, or emergency room setting.
  • Experience with multi-disciplinary teams is a plus, enhancing collaboration across specialties.
  • Bilingual ability is a valued asset in reaching a wider patient demographic.
Compensation and Benefits
