Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will take on critical responsibilities including but not limited to:

  • Conducting comprehensive patient evaluations by reviewing health histories and performing initial assessments to identify mental health needs.
  • Developing tailored mental health care plans that cater to the individual psychological and emotional needs of patients, based on established practice standards.
  • Engaging patients and their families through effective interviews to set realistic treatment goals and develop actionable care plans.
  • Regularly assessing and modifying care plans to respond to patient and family feedback, ensuring the highest quality of mental health support.
  • Collaborating with patients' physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate a seamless and integrated care experience.
  • Providing essential mental health education through multiple scheduled ‘Healthy Minds’ workshops, employing creativity to effectively engage participants.
  • Meticulously documenting all patient interactions and care plans in the appropriate electronic health record systems while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
  • Making necessary referrals to other healthcare specialists when required, to ensure comprehensive care.
Patient Population / Client Focus

In this position, you will primarily work with cardiac rehabilitation patients who often face emotional and psychological challenges as a result of their conditions. It is essential to understand and empathize with their unique experiences, providing support that uplifts and encourages resilience. Your role will empower patients to better manage their mental health, ultimately enhancing their recovery journey.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • A current and valid LMHC, LCSW, LMFT, or Psychologist license.
  • A bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field; additional education or certifications are a strong plus.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, enabling effective education and support for patients and their families.
  • Proficiency with telehealth tools and electronic health record systems.
Preferred Experience

Preferred candidates will have experience working in mental health care, particularly with patients in high-stress medical conditions, such as heart diseases. Familiarity with cardiac rehabilitation protocols, along with innovations in behavioral healthcare and a strong understanding of trauma-informed care principles, will be highly beneficial.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this position ranges from USD 90,000 to 104,000 annually, depending on the caseload and the number of clients seen each week. Our benefits package includes:
