We are looking for a Business Development Professional - Synchronous Motors & Generators to join our team at Innomotics.

The role.

The motor segment of Innomotics HV division, designs, builds, and sells innovative medium voltage generators used in gas, steam, or synchronous condenser applications. Innomotics supports generation development with strong expertise, advanced technology, and a focus on delivering value.

We are seeking an experienced team member to support the expansion of our synchronous generator business across key industrial and energy markets in North America. In this role, you will work with customers to expand our generator portfolio in gas, steam, and synchronous OEM or user markets by promoting Innomotics solutions and strategies. You will interact with customers at all levels, including executives, and collaborate with our global team and factories to support our worldwide generator strategy.

Responsibilities:

  • Take charge of marketing and sales for our generator products in North America.
  • Lead Innomotics efforts at conferences, write whitepapers, and take part in OEM and user industry groups.
  • Analyze the market and competitors, suggest marketing and portfolio improvements, and present your findings to C-level leaders.
  • Grow business for our generator solutions throughout North America.
  • Find, develop, and support to close sales leads our generator products to boost revenue and increase orders for Innomotics.
  • Support quotation and tender activities together with the engineering, application and sales teams
  • Present the full Innomotics portfolio in customer meetings, using both technical and business knowledge.
  • Customize solutions and proposals by understanding each customer's needs.
  • Build relationships with C-level leaders by knowing their needs and technology plans.
  • Support go to market, product positioning and strategy initiatives
  • Evaluate market needs, sizes and outlooks on region, country and state levels.

Your profile.

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, or equivalent studies. Technical background vital.
  • 5 to 10+ years' experience in related business fields and job functions such as business development, sales or marketing in industry areas such as Energy, Oil & Gas, Power Generation, Energy Storage or Renewables
  • Experience with marketing and communication initiatives
  • Experience having worked in an international and global organization
  • Strong analytical and presentation skills, excellent in negotiation and communication on multiple levels, self-motivated, strong execution mindset, team player
  • Travel activity 30 - 50%
  • Fluent in English, additional languages skills a plus

Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:

  • Knowledge of financial business models and contractual requirements for complex solutions
  • Direct experience in the renewable energy sector, energy storage and/or decarbonization topics would be an asset

The pay range for this position is $93,436 - $240,262. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
