Key Responsibilities

• Conduct individual acupuncture consultations to assess patients’ needs and develop tailored treatment plans.
• Administer acupuncture, acupressure, and related therapeutic techniques, ensuring the utmost safety and comfort for patients.
• Document detailed visit summaries and treatment outcomes in our electronic medical record (EMR) system, while coordinating with other healthcare providers regarding follow-up care.
• Create informative presentations and educational materials to raise awareness about the benefits of acupuncture within the community and among healthcare staff.
• Participate in collaborative treatment discussions with colleagues to enhance patient care strategies.
• Perform other related duties as assigned to ensure smooth clinic operations.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be working with outpatient clients dealing with a range of conditions, from chronic pain to stress management. The ideal candidate will engage actively with these individuals to encourage their involvement in their own wellness journey, emphasizing preventative care and holistic healing approaches.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 2 years of professional experience as a licensed acupuncturist.
• Current acupuncture licensure in the State of New York.
• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited acupuncture program recognized by the Accreditation Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (ACAOM).
• Strong customer service skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with patients both in person and through various communication channels.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to maintain high standards of professionalism in appearance and demeanor.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in providing education on acupuncture methods and practices to patients, community groups, and healthcare providers.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems for documentation and patient tracking.
• Participation in community wellness programs or health fairs.

Compensation and Benefits
