Position Overview

Inner Peace Counseling Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Full-Time Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team. This role is designed for licensed professionals with expertise in social work, counseling, marriage and family therapy, or psychology. As a counselor, you will play a pivotal role in providing vital support to patients and their families, facilitating their emotional and psychological well-being.

Work Environment

This position is exclusively remote, offering flexibility that enables you to maintain a work-life balance while contributing to an innovative and collaborative culture. As part of our team, you will work in a Hospice Center setting, partnering with a diverse group of health care professionals to provide integrated care that meets the psychological and emotional needs of our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify emotional and behavioral problems in patients, followed by appropriate counseling and crisis intervention.
  • Engage in regular communication with physicians and other healthcare staff to report patient progress, address needs and concerns, and collaboratively troubleshoot any potential obstacles to care.
  • Maintain meticulous and timely documentation, including clinical assessments and progress notes, in accordance with company policies and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop effective treatment plans and discharge strategies that are tailored to the psychosocial needs of each patient.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with community resource organizations, representing Inner Peace Counseling Center at relevant meetings and committees dedicated to fulfilling the social needs of patients.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clients at Inner Peace Counseling Center include individuals facing a variety of psychological and emotional challenges, particularly those within the hospice care environment. You will work with patients dealing with life-limiting illnesses, providing critical mental health support to promote comfort and quality of life during difficult times. Understanding and empathy are key, as many of these patients and families are experiencing intense grief and emotional distress.

Qualifications
  • A Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology is required.
  • Active licensure as a LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in the state of California is essential.
  • Minimum of 3 years of post-licensure experience in a clinical mental health setting is mandatory.
  • Demonstrated ability to cultivate professional relationships with colleagues, healthcare providers, and patients is crucial for success in this role.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, facilitating effective collaboration within the team and with patients.
Preferred Experience

Experience working in a hospice or palliative care environment is highly desirable, as this role requires sensitivity to end-of-life issues and the emotional challenges that accompany them. Familiarity with community resources and local support systems can enhance your effectiveness in this position.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 120,000 to 130,000, accompanied by a robust benefits package, which includes:
