Job description

Construction Foreman

Underground Utilities • Pole Work • Roadway Lighting

InLine is hiring an experienced Working Foreman to lead crews installing underground conduit, foundations, poles, and roadway/bridge lighting. If you know civil or electrical work, can run a crew, and want a company that promotes from within, InLine is a solid place to build your career.

We’ve been in business for over 30 years, and many of our supervisors started in the field—just like you.

What You’ll Do

  1. Lead a small crew on underground utility work (power and fiber)
  2. Install conduit, pull wire, set poles, and place foundations
  3. Build and wire roadway/bridge lighting systems
  4. Keep the jobsite safe, clean, and productive
  5. Read plans and follow layout
  6. Run equipment such as mini‐excavators, trenchers, skid steers, and augers
  7. Complete daily paperwork (time, materials, notes)
  8. Work with inspectors, PMs, and other crews on site
  9. Troubleshoot issues in the field and keep work moving

Optional but a bonus if you’ve done:

  1. ITS installs (cameras, radar, message signs)
  2. Traffic signal work

What We’re Looking For

  1. Experience running or leading field crews
  2. Knowledge of underground utilities and pole/lighting installation
  3. Ability to read basic construction and electrical drawings
  4. Experience operating small to mid‐size construction equipment
  5. Strong focus on safety (MUTCD work zones, trench safety, PPE)
  6. Valid driver’s license (CDL is a plus)
  7. OSHA 10 or 30 (or willing to get it—training provided)
  8. IMSA/ATSSA certs are a bonus, not required

Work Schedule

  1. Full-time, Monday–Friday
  2. Overtime available
  3. Some weekend/night work when needed
  4. Travel as needed (usually short trips, up to one‐week intervals)

What InLine Offers

  1. Competitive pay based on experience
  2. Blue Cross Blue Shield health, dental, and vision
  3. 401(k) with company match
  4. Paid holidays and PTO
  5. Training, certifications, and clear paths to promotion
  6. A stable company with decades of steady work
