Overview

Reporting to the Packaging Supervisor, the High Performance Machine Operator is responsible for maintaining consistent production and quality standards, keeping all equipment running smoothly to ensure on-time delivery of product, and working well within their team to promote a positive work environment.

What Youโ€™ll Do

  • Oversee day-to-day production line operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant execution across all activities.
  • Set up, operate, and perform changeovers on all production line equipment, including filling machines, cooling tunnels, check weighers, capping machines, unscramblers, depuckers, inkjet printers, and related machinery.
  • Manage equipment startups, shutdowns, and line clearances to support smooth and reliable operations.
  • Perform routine cleaning, inspection, and lubrication of production equipment in accordance with established procedures.
  • Execute daily production plans and targets as assigned by the supervisor, adjusting priorities as needed.
  • Lead production line activities by assigning tasks and coordinating daily responsibilities to support operational success.
  • Maintain 5S standards and a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment throughout the production area.
  • Conduct in-line quality checks, first article inspections, yield counts, and monitoring of rejects and returns to ensure products meet quality standards.
  • Complete all required production documentation, logs, and administrative records accurately and on time.
  • Demonstrate flexibility by performing any role on the production line, including filling, labeling, batching, cleaning, and boxing, both manually and through machine operation. Tasks include loading and unloading materials, feeding machines, handling components throughout the line, and other duties as required.
  • Ensure compliance with standard operating procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and all safety requirements.
  • Perform all production line functions as needed, including filling, labeling, batching, cleaning, boxing, and material handling, using both manual and automated processes.
  • Communicate regularly with leads and supervisors, complete pass-downs to incoming operators, and collaborate closely with team members to maintain a positive, productive work environment.
