Job description

Step into the role

As our Thermoplastics Process Technician, your day begins at the press: selecting and installing molds, making clean hydraulic, water, and electrical hookups, and bringing molding machines and auxiliary systems online to the established process window. You’ll verify parameters, run first shots, and conduct a careful pre-inspection before parts head to quality. When planned maintenance calls, you’ll safely remove molds, and throughout the shift you’ll troubleshoot basic injection molding and automation issues while championing safe work practices.

What you’ll do
  • Install molds, completing all hydraulic, water, and electrical connections as required.
  • Start up molding machines and auxiliary equipment to pre-set process parameters.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting of injection molding processes and automation equipment.
  • Pre-inspect molded product prior to formal quality inspection.
  • Safely remove molds from machines for planned maintenance.
  • Promote and adhere to all safety practices at all times.
What you bring
  • High school diploma or GED (or equivalent) required.
  • At least 3 years of experience in injection molding manufacturing.
  • Ability to use basic hand tools.
  • Basic math proficiency: add, subtract, multiply, divide, compute percentages, and work with decimals and fractions.
  • Ability to stand 70% of the time and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Familiarity with measurement tools including calipers and micrometers.
  • Basic computer skills preferred.
  • Exposure to Scientific Injection Molding principles is a plus, not required.
  • Commitment to following all company policies and procedures.
Schedule

Five days per week, 8-hour shifts. Choose your regular days off: Fridays, Saturdays, or Sundays and Mondays.
