They work closely with doctors and pharmacists to provide safe and efficient care. Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and knowledge of IV therapy are essential for this role.

What does a typical day look like working in an infusion center?

A typical day in an Infusion Center involves preparing and administering intravenous medications, closely monitoring patient responses, and documenting all care activities in electronic health systems. Staff often work in a collaborative, team-based setting alongside physicians, pharmacists, and other nurses to ensure each patient receives individualized treatment. Patient education and reassurance are key, as many individuals may feel anxious about their procedures. The environment is fast-paced but supportive, with opportunities to build strong patient relationships and deepen your clinical expertise in infusion therapy.
