OverviewThe Network and Capacity Planner is responsible for supporting infrastructure growth, capacity management, colocation coordination, rack procurement, vendor engagement, and operational workflow execution across the Waypoint Trading Solutions infrastructure environment. This role combines network and capacity planning disciplines with hands-on program coordination to ensure space, power, rack, PDU, switch port, and colocation resources are planned, tracked, and delivered in alignment with business demand.
The position serves as a primary coordinator for Waypoint growth initiatives and related integration activities, working closely with Engineering, Operations, Sales, Product, Procurement, Finance, Legal, vendors, and colocation providers to support infrastructure readiness, contract execution, and project tracking.ResponsibilitiesKey ResponsibilitiesCapacity Planning Management
  • Assist senior planning resources in developing and maintaining Capacity Management Plans for data center power and space, and network switch port availability for Waypoint products and services.

  • Build, maintain, and enhance reporting used to support capacity management, infrastructure forecasting, utilization tracking, and leadership review.

  • Analyze demand trends, sales pipelines, and infrastructure utilization to forecast capacity exhaustion and recommend proactive augmentations.

Lifecycle & Inventory Management
  • Manage inventory tracking for data center hardware, with a focus on network switching infrastructure availability and lead times.

  • Monitor warehouse min/max levels for BAU parts and collaborate on reporting improvements.

  • Work with the Facilities team to ensure contract inventories, renewal schedules, and vendor records are documented and managed appropriately.

  • Support analysis and activities regarding service contract renewals and EOL milestones for network switching infrastructure.

Infrastructure Deployment Management
  • Support Waypoint growth initiatives and network expansion activities, including vendor deliverables and overall physical site readiness.

  • Partner with Legal, Procurement, Finance, Product, Engineering, Operations, and Sales throughout procurement and infrastructure deployment activities.

  • Track infrastructure expansion projects, rack acquisition, network switch allocations, deployment milestones, migration dependencies, and escalation items.

Streamline Hosting Onboarding Activities
  • Manage Waypoint-related Nlyte and Salesforce work order activities, ensuring all changes are accurately documented, completed, and escalated as needed.

  • Identify opportunities to improve workflows, reporting, documentation quality, automation, and reduce operational handoffs.

  • Provide regular updates, capacity summaries, risks, issues, and recommendations to leadership and stakeholders.

QualificationsRequired QualificationsExperience
  • Experience in the IT industry supporting data center design, data center operations, capacity management, or in a delivery project management role.

  • Strong communication, documentation, organization, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Knowledge of telecommunications network design principles, IP network design concepts, traffic engineering, and equipment capacity planning.

  • Experience with one or more of the following disciplines: data center design, power delivery systems, and capacity management.

Technical Skills
  • Ability to analyze utilization data, business demand trends, sales pipelines, and infrastructure constraints.

  • Ability to conceptualize and build reports, and document requirements for new reports or enhancements.

  • Ability to coordinate multiple workstreams, vendors, internal teams, and business expansion priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Telecommunications, Information Technology, Engineering, Project Management, or a related field, or equivalent certifications, education, or demonstrated work experience.

  • Project or program management experience supporting cross-functional technical initiatives within the financial trading community.

  • Experience managing contracts, vendor relationships, colocation providers, or infrastructure procurement activities.

  • Experience interacting with Nlyte or an equivalent DCIM tool, Salesforce, project management tools, and inventory management systems.

For US candidates, we anticipate paying $101,000 - $121,000 annually. Any compensation range provided for a role is an estimate determined by available market data. The actual amount may be higher or lower than the range provided, considering each candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities, and geographic location.
