Job description

Position Summary

The HR Onboarding Program Manager will lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of onboarding programs at Black Box, with a focus on technical, field-based, and data center professionals. The role ensures onboarding new hires supporting data center infrastructure, network operations, and field service delivery are effectively integrated, equipped with required tools, safety training, and operational knowledge.

This position partners closely with Talent Acquisition, Operations, Data Center leadership, Field Services, IT, and HR teams to deliver a consistent onboarding experience across corporate offices, client sites, and data center environments.

Position Details: 

  • Exempt Salaried position based upon experience & skill level
  • Contract with possible contract extension or hire
  • Standard work hours: Mon-Fri 8:00am- 5:00pm
  • Location: Onsite - Holly Ridge, LA

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and manage end-to-end onboarding programs for corporate, technical, and field-based employees. 
  • Develop role-based onboarding tracks for data center technicians, network engineers, field service technicians, and infrastructure deployment teams. 
  • Ensure onboarding aligns with company service delivery standards, safety requirements, and operational procedures. 
  • Coordinate onboarding requirements including: 
    • Site access and security credentials 

    • Safety and compliance training 

    • Data center protocols 

    • Customer-specific onboarding requirements 

  • Ensure employees are deployment-ready and compliant before site assignments. 
  • Coordinate onboarding activities across HR, IT, Operations, Security, and Facilities. 
  • Manage equipment provisioning, system access, and onboarding workflows within HRIS or onboarding platforms. 
  • Partner with hiring managers and operational leaders to ensure onboarding aligns with team and business needs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field.
  • 5-8 years of experience in onboarding, HR coordination, customer success, or related roles.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Experience with Oracle or related HRIS/ onboarding platforms.
  • Ability to manage multiple onboarding processes simultaneously.
  • Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in IT services, infrastructure, or technology environments.
  • Knowledge of HR compliance and employee lifecycle processes.
  • Familiarity with collaboration tools such as Microsoft Teams, Workday, or Salesforce.
  • Strong presentation and training facilitation skills.
