Job description

Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Facilities and Asset Management within Operations Support Facilities Division, Border Patrol and Air and Marine Program Management Office. In the following locations: Hammond LA, Jacksonville FL, Miami FL, Euless Tx, Washington D.C. and Dania FL.
Qualifications:Experience: You qualify for the GS-14 grade level if you possess 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as:
  • Directing the execution of a high-profile a program, managing cross-functional teams, resolving conflicts, and ensuring deliverables were met on time and within budget.
  • Managing and overseeing large-scale initiatives including the overall planning, direction, and timely execution of the activities of all facilities and infrastructure work and proactively addressing challenges and reallocating resources to maintain progress.
  • Initiating and conducting comprehensive evaluations to include analysis of workload, personnel utilization, administrative facilities, and organization operating requirements for the program segment, identifying trends, and presenting actionable recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Developing and implementing internal controls to ensure compliance with regulations and completion of goals and objectives of subordinate organizational units or lower organizational levels.
  • Conducting cost-benefit analyses to support program alignment with management principles and objectives and streamlining organizational structures.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
You must:
  • Meet all qualification requirements, including education if applicable to this position, subject to verification at any stage of the application process; and
  • Meet all applicable Time in Grade requirements (current federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade or equivalent grade band in the federal service) by 05/29/2026.
