Job description

We are seeking an experienced Global SAP S/4HANA Program Manager to play a critical leadership role in our global transformation program. This is a highly strategic position with accountability across U.S. deployment waves while operating within a tightly integrated global program structure.

This is not a traditional project manager role. The Program Manager is accountable for program governance, methodology adherence, and endtoend execution excellence across regions, workstreams, and partners. You will ensure alignment between global strategy and local execution, driving successful outcomes across multiple deployment waves.

Areas of Responsibility / Tasks 

  1. Area of Focus (In order of percentage of time spent on activity,  importance and/or priority)
    1. Owns the S/4HANA program mandate and ensures all regional, functional, and technical workstreams operate within the approved program scope, timeline, and objectives. 
    2. Defines and governs program structure, including workstreams, steering bodies, project governance, reporting cadence, RAID management, and quality gates.
    3. Provides strategic leadership to ensure program delivery meets all performance, budget, and quality expectations.
    4. Owns the master program plan and ensures alignment between global milestones, local deployment waves, integration activities, and change management deliverables.
    5. Manages the integrated RAID log across all regions and workstreams, ensuring timely escalation and resolution of critical issues and risks.
    6. Ensures global alignment between business process design, template definition, data strategy, integration architecture, and deployment methodology.
    7. Chairs program-level governance meetings including SteerCos, DAB, CCB, TCB, Program Leadership Team, and Deployment Readiness forums.
    8. Acts as the primary liaison between senior leadership, business executives, technology leadership, and external implementation partners.
    9. Ensures adherence to SAP Activate methodology, as well as internal Ravago governance, compliance, and quality standards.
    10. Drives decision-making by providing transparent program status, risk insights, financial impacts, and deployment readiness assessments.
    11. Oversees resource management across regions and partners, ensuring critical workstreams are adequately staffed and supported.
    12. Manages vendor and system integrator performance, including contractual obligations, deliverables, and escalations.
    13. Ensures integrated change management, collaborating with the Change Lead to support communication, adoption, training, and stakeholder engagement.
    14. Owns the global cutover and deployment strategy, including go/no-go decisions, hypercare planning, and transition to operations.
    15. Promotes consistency and standardization across regions while managing local requirements through the global template governance process.
    16. Drives continuous improvement by capturing lessons learned and embedding best practices into subsequent deployment waves.
    17. Ensures financial oversight of program budgets, forecasts, and benefit realization tracking.

    4. Experience with template roll-outs and running complex SAP transformations (within a hybrid application landscape is a strong asset.)
