Job Description:
As an Infrastructure Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing complex infrastructure projects, focusing on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), Data Centre operations, and networking solutions. You will be responsible for ensuring the successful planning, execution, and completion of various infrastructure initiatives, ensuring they align with our organization's goals and objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Execution:
  • The Project Manager will plan, direct, and coordinate activities of the designated projects to ensure that goals or objectives of project are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters by performing the following duties personally or through peers/subordinate supervisors.
  • Establishes work plans and staffing for each phase of the projects and arranges for recruitment or assignment of project personnel as required/necessary.
  • Reviews project proposal or plan to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of project.
  • Confers with project staff to outline work plan and to assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority.
  • Plans and analyzes assigned projects, establishes schedules and project parameters and sets procedures to accomplish system objectives, involving complex contracting applications.
  • Establishes a professional relationship with the customer and interfaces constantly to maintain accurate status reports and project reviews.
  • Prepares project reports for management, client, or others.
  • Responsible for maintaining the accuracy of the forecasted cost at completion.
  • Responsible for timely completion of assigned projects and customer satisfaction.
  • Maintains customer satisfaction by investigating concerns, implementing corrective action, and communicating with customers and assigned staff.
  • Obtains acceptance and timely sign-off of the project by the customer.
  • Responsible for the successful completion of the project.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute infrastructure projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scopes, objectives, and deliverables.
  • Utilize project management tools and methodologies to track progress, identify risks, and implement effective solutions.
  • Cloud Technologies:
  • Demonstrate expertise in cloud platforms, particularly AWS and Azure, ensuring seamless integration and optimal utilization of cloud resources.
  • Design and implement scalable and secure cloud-based solutions to meet the organization's requirements.

Data Centre Operations:
  • Manage Data Centre operations, including server installations, hardware configurations, and maintenance activities.
  • Ensure high availability and reliability of Data Centre services and infrastructure components.

Networking Background:
  • Leverage your networking background to design and implement robust network solutions, ensuring seamless connectivity and data transmission.
  • Collaborate with network engineers to optimize network performance and security

Stakeholder Management:
  • Effectively communicate project status, issues, and risks to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment with business objectives.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Proven experience as an Infrastructure Project Manager, with a focus on cloud technologies, AWS, Azure, Data Centre, and networking solutions.
  • Strong background in networking, including TCP/IP, routing, switching, and security protocols.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
