The ideal candidate will combine deep technical expertise in biofuel production processes, robust experience in data monitoring technologies, and a strategic mindset to ensure that LanzaJet's innovative technology is implemented and is operating efficiently, safely, and at scale across various operational sites.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement a robust data monitoring strategy to support the transfer and commercialization of the LanzaJet ethanol to SAF technology.Monitor and analyze system performance data to identify trends, optimize processes, troubleshootoperations, and predict maintenance needs.Design and oversee the integration of the data monitoring systems into the technology transfer framework, ensuring they meet the scalability and reliability needs of commercial operations.Establish real-time monitoring capabilities for process analytics, ensuring performance optimization, identifying maintenance needs, predicting remaining catalyst life, and consistency in product quality.Coordinate with external partners, including engineering firms and technology providers, to standardize monitoring protocols and systems.Lead the development of training programs for the Operations team on the use of monitoring systems.Stay abreast of advancements in monitoring technology and biofuel production processes to continually enhance system capabilities.Improve the technology by capturing and incorporating lessons learned from the monitoring of the operating plants in the design of new units.Work closely with the Engineering, Operations & R&D teams to ensure seamless knowledge transfer and systems integration.RequirementsBachelor's or master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Biochemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related field.Minimum of 7 yearsโ€™ experience in a process industry, with at least 3 years in a technology monitoring or process control role, preferably within the biofuels sector.Demonstrated experience with process analytics, monitoring technologies, and data analysis tools.Proven ability to manage technology transfer projects, with a strong understanding of the commercialization process for industrial technologies.Excellent leadership and communication skills, with a proven track record of working effectively with cross-functional teams.Experience in developing and managing budgets for technology implementation projects.Office environment with regular on-site visits to production facilities for training and commercial support.Willingness to travel domestically and internationally 15-20% to support technology deployment and transfer activities.Participation in cross-time-zone meetings with global partners may be required.Knowledge of Aveva PI or comparable data management platform infrastructure preferred.Experience with turnaround planning and field engineering support preferred.Familiarity with regulatory standards and certifications related to biofuel production and aviation fuel preferred.Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now and in the futureOverview of BenefitsCompetitive base salary, bonus, and stock options.
