Raytheon is seeking a highly skilled Senior Infrastructure Technician to join our Satellite Ground Systems team. This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining the software infrastructure required for the operation and management of satellite ground systems, with a focus on automation, deployment, and monitoring.

Location: This is an onsite position in State College, PA

What You Will Do:

This role involves close collaboration with systems engineers, hardware designers, and other software engineers to deliver reliable and high performance software solutions. Other responsibilities to anticipate may include:

Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues.
Working with multiple engineering disciplines in an agile DevSecOps environment.
Develop and maintain documentation for the software infrastructure, including design documents, user manuals, and system administration guides.
Define, develop, and prototype software scripts, virtualization environments, and cloud environments.
Implement and manage continuous delivery systems and methodologies.
Participate in the continuous improvement of the software infrastructure by identifying and implementing enhancements and optimizations.


Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a High School diploma with four (4) years experience.

  • Active and transferable TS/SCI U.S. government issued security clearance prior to start date with the adjudication date less than three years ago from your starting date for this position. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

  • Experience with Software Infrastructure through Information Technology or Software Engineering

  • Willingness and desire to do infrastructure type work

  • CompTIA Security+ Certification


Qualifications We Prefer

  • Experience with VMWare and AWS

  • Experience with Puppet, Ansible and Git

  • Experience with Python and Bash

  • Experience with Linux administration

  • Good understanding of networking concepts

  • Software development experience in Java with unit testing and integration testing experience

  • Knowledge of satellite ground systems, space operations, or related domains is highly desirable.

  • Familiarity with secure coding practices, especially in a defense or aerospace setting.

The salary range for this role is 43,400 USD - 82,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
