Job Vacancy Details ****Open Until Filled, Prior Applicants Need Not Re-Apply**** Pitt Community College is seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Infrastructure Support to oversee the management and operations of three critical IT areas: Enterprise Solutions, Application Programming, and Network Services. Reporting directly to the CIO, the Director ensures the reliability, scalability, and security of the institution's IT infrastructure, both on-premise and in the cloud. This position plays a key role in developing and executing technology strategies, supporting institutional goals, and ensuring compliance with security and regulatory requirements.

What You'll Do What You'll Do Oversee management of Enterprise Solutions, including on-premise and cloud infrastructures (AWS, Azure, Microsoft 365, and hosted systems such as Ellucian Colleague, Element451, Etrieve, NelNet, TracCloud, HelioCampus, and LibraryPass). Supervise the Manager of Application Programming and team, overseeing development and support in IIS, APIs, Etrieve Content and Central, and Entrinsik Informer tools. Supervise the Manager of Network Services and team, managing wired/wireless networks, telephony, fax systems, and infrastructure security (including next-gen firewalls).

Ensure infrastructure reliability, scalability, and security through proactive monitoring, management, and optimization. Collaborate with IT leadership to develop and implement technology strategies aligned with institutional priorities. Provide direct support to the CIO in IT project planning, execution, and reporting.

Develop and maintain policies and procedures for IT operations and cybersecurity. Manage budgets and allocate resources for infrastructure support teams. Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to keep PCC's IT infrastructure competitive and secure.

Maintain compliance with regulatory frameworks such as GLBA, HIPAA, CIS Controls, NIST 800-53, and PCI. Develop, test, and maintain Business Continuity and Incident Response plans. Why Join PCC.

Additional Information What We're Looking For Minimum of 4 years of IT infrastructure management experience, including 3 years in a leadership role.

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field and 4 years of related experience, or an equivalent mix of education and professional experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the role successfully. Strong knowledge of server infrastructure, cloud services, application development, and network management. Experience with AWS, Azure, Microsoft 365, and enterprise-level cloud services.

Demonstrated leadership, team management, and interpersonal communication skills. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Experience with budget planning and resource allocation. Knowledge of IT security best practices and compliance requirements.
